This week, the wind gods were more favorable with a south wind of five knots building to seven knots by the third race. However, the clouds rolled in which made for a brisk evening with temperatures in the mid-50s. The race committee practiced gate starts which will be used in the 505 North Americans in June. In general, the racers and race committee adapted well. The scores at the top of the fleet remain tight, with only one point separating first and second places with the throw-out.
Thanks to the Race Committee and Safety Boat crews for the great job they did managing the course, especially with the new starting system and for volunteering their time and to the 505 fleet for coming out to play!
