Week 2, Tuesday, May 17, 2016
Week 1 was flat calm on the bay. While the RC came out, the 505s stayed at the dock. The racing was abandoned and the fleet and RC convened at Stones Throw Brewery for brats and beer. Thank you to Jack Pflueger and Stones Throw for being such gracious hosts to us on a night they are not normally open.
This week the RC set up the full course configuration to be used in the 505 North Americans (sans windward offset mark). The course worked well. With 8-10 knots of wind out of the south we were able to complete two full races plus a third rabbit start.
Thanks to the Race Committee and Safety Boat crews for the great job they did managing the course, especially with the unfamiliar course setup and for volunteering their time and to the 505 fleet for coming out to play!
