2012 Youth Sailing Class Schedule


New for this year! We have separated the Basic Sailing classes by age to better facilitate everyone’s needs. In addition, we have replaced the Advanced Sailing class with boat specific Racing Camps and have also added a fun Cruising Camp. Check at the bottom of this page for applicable discounts, including a discount for BYC members and their immediate family members.

Class Times

Most BYC youth sailing class sessions are held Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The exceptions to this are the Racing Camps, which are held Monday through Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Discount Structure

You may be eligible for a $45 discount per session if you meet any of the following criteria:

  • You are a current BYC member (including immediate family and/or grandchildren)
  • You are purchasing a single class for more than one member of your family
  • You are purchasing multiple sessions for a family member

Discounts cannot be applied retroactively. For instance, if you purchase a single class for full price and then you want to sign your child up for an additional class, the discount applies only for the additional classes.

Discounts are not cumulative. If you are a Bellingham Yacht Club Member, you will receive a $45 discount on all classes. However, you do not qualify for the multiple class discount in addition to your membership discount.
